The annual Northwestern MS in Analytics and Teradata Hackathon was established as a friendly competition and innovative way to evaluate first-year grad students on their analytics skills and creativity during the program director's course on big data. As the sponsor for the event, Teradata dedicated several employees to provide training for students, judges for the student presentations, and prizes for winning teams.
Leading up to the hackathon, I worked closely with the director at Teradata to successfully plan and promote the event, including designing and writing copy for marketing materials to be distributed by Teradata team. We devised a cohesive social media strategy for both the analytics program and the Teradata accounts. I also launched our collaboration with other Northwestern news and marketing teams to showcase the event university-wide.
